Keepers At Home
 
"For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow in his steps." I peter 2:21

The Keeper's At Home girls meet every Friday night to grow, learn and edify each other in the ways of the Lord. Their activities range from earning pins and badges of accomplishment e.g: photography, cake decorating, sewing, Bible memorization and Community Outreach. The girls stay active with church activities and youth programs; many of which incorporate earning an award pin for their services and assistance.

One of the recent badges the girls have completed was a one year study of Proverbs 31:10-31. The girls had to memorize the entire chapter of Proverbs 31 as well as perform duties demonstrated by the "virtuous woman" of Proverbs. Some of the tasks were time consuming and required a lot of dedication, resulting in adapting to a new and more dedicated lifestyle lived before the Lord. An example of the tasks completed in order to earn the Proverbs 31 pin was waking before dawn consistently for 2 months. The girls wisely chose to complete this segment of the task while school was in session! Other tasks included  of making and selling items to add income to the families budget, the sole responsibility of preparing dinner, setting the table and completing clean up after the meal for an entire week, sewing a garment for a family member and exercising  a tongue "with the law of kindness".

One of many devotions had over the year study of Proverbs 31 was having a giving and meek heart as demonstrated in Proverbs 31. As an object lesson, the girls were surprised with a "foot washing" in one of our KAH classes. The girls learned the importance of having a servants heart and will carry the lesson of humility with them through their lives.
