Children
are encouraged to participate in the ministry of helps at Christian
Temple. Many activities, classes, and outreach ministries are
offered throughout the year at Christian Temple to keep the children
and youth active, encouraged, and growing in the grace of the
Lord.
Lighthouse Christian Academy originated as a small group of
homeschooling mothers gathering once a week as a co-op. It wasn't
long before the ministry was made aware of the necessity of a
private Christian school. Lighthouse Christian Academy
was established in 1998 deemed as an essential ministry to the
families of the church who desired to educate their children in the
ways of God. The students and families of LCA have segregated
themselves from the world's educational systems and indoctrination.
Currently, Christian Temple has weekly Sunday School and Nursery
classes for children ages 12 and under. Sunday School for boys aged 3-7 consists of the "Contenders of the Faith"
program teaching young boys to honor the Lord with their lives; they
boys earn pins of recognition for their weekly accomplishments.
Monday evenings are set aside for the youth's choir practice, and each Friday night girls ages
ranging in age from 5-18 meet for two separate "Keepers At Home"classes
(also known as KAH). The KAH class is a home economics class designed to teach
young ladies the importance of godly homemaking and the role
of a young lady in the work of God and the ministry of helps.
