Ministering To Those Needing Hope

The love for souls and fellowship reaches far outside the four walls of Christian Temple Church. The nursing home ministry is just one example of how we are devoted to taking the Word to those who aren’t able to be a part of a congregation. The brotherhood holds up to three services every week in local retirement and nursing homes. These services include congregational hymns, verbal testimonials, sermons by various ministers, and special singing from saints of all ages! The elderly light up in pure joy watching the small youth sing their special songs or quote their memorized scripture verses. However, the services are not just for entertainment purposes only. There is always one-on-one prayer with the tenants, listening to their personal requests, and praying over these needs. We take these matters and concerns seriously to the Lord. We have witnessed lives changed and needs met because of the power of prayer in these services. The Lord has met both physical, and even more importantly, spiritual needs of these tenants. Some of these people are in such great need for fellowship, love, and friendship. We pray that we can provide not only that, but also the encouragement to help grow their faith and strengthen their walk with the Lord.
