Update on CAMP MEETING 2007

June 6th-10th

Camp Meeting 2007 was a spiritually renewing time of anointed ministering in both Word and music. Several guest ministers delivered astounding messages of faith and deliverance coupled with reflections of their Christian walk and testimonies of their experiences with God. On Saturday June 9th, Christian Temple hosted a "Family Day" of activities allowing families to journey back in time to see "Bethlehem Village" during the time of the birth of Christ. Children experienced wheat grinding, bread and butter making, a carpenter's shop, toy making tent, a petting zoo and were even given the opportunity to taste foods from Israel, as well as many other Bible activities and games.  Plans are all ready under way  for next years camp meeting and Family Day with a tentative date being set for  May 21-25, 2008.

Two of the volunteers for Bethlehem Village pose in the

"House of Bread" where visitors ground wheat, made bread and butter and were able to taste several samples of bedouin bread and other flat breads.

Children were able to experience working as an apprentice in a Jewish carpentry shop.

Children and adults alike learned about Rome's customs and had fun trying Roman Centurion drills and exercises as well as other games such as: tug of war, leap frog, chariot racing and hopscotch.

Bethlehem Village wouldn't have been complete without our Jewish Rabbi proclaiming the coming Messiah. At the Rabbi's booth the children learned of Jewish customs and saw souvenirs from the Holy Land.

When entering Bethlehem Village each visitor had to sign the roman census at the "Census Takers Booth".

A young shepherdess tends the animals in the petting zoo.

In the toy shop visitors made clay dolls and wrapped them in swaddling clothes while hearing stories from the shop keeper of life in Bethlehem and the coming savior.

Bethlehem Villages open air market was many of the visitors favorite shop. The market had samples of fruits, herbs, grains, cheeses, nuts and breads from Israel.
